Burning the Midnight Oil with the Coffee Crew
Last Friday was yet another meeting for the ol' Crew. I guess that would have been # 18.
Sue, Joe, and I joined Paul at his his place for another fine evening. Paul complained about television in his writing, Sue discussed one of her insane parental figure in hers, and I just sort of ranted about half-witted societal norms in mine. So...I guess you could say it was pretty much a normal, cookie-cutter evening for us with no surprises! Joe didn't get a chance to read, because we were too busy discussing our topics until...oh, about 3 in the morning. We're so wild and crazy you just can't control us. Nothing quite says "hard-living rebels" like a bunch of aging 30-somethings reading literature to each other all night. We're bad to the bone. Next time, we'll start with Joe reading.
Paul did a good job providing us with both pizza and frozen appetizer tacos. Yeah, apparantely they do make those.
A good time was had by all. Rich blew us off because he prefers hanging out in the Bronx to talking about Space Nerd stuff. The best, though, was when he told me the next day that he got back into town at 9:30-ish and contemplated stopping by, but figured we'd all be basically wrapping it up soon. Oh, the folly of his thinking.
We're bad to the bone, baby.
